Britain’s Paul Bonhomme gained a measure of sweet revenge in the season opener of the 2008 Red Bull Air Race World Series in Abu Dhabi with an emphatic victory that wiped away the painful memories of losing the 2007 championship to American Mike Mangold. Bonhomme was in a class of his own, despite sweltering heat, winning in front of 400,000 spectators watching from the Corniche in front of Abu Dhabi’s skyline above the turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf.
